One of the best parts of living in the Washington, DC area was listening to the great local NPR affiliate, WAMU Radio. Among their daytime public affairs talk lineup, Diane Rehm was and remains the standout veteran. I’m something of a connoisseur of news-oriented interview shows, and Diane never failed to beguile with her probing questions and ability to inject interest and alacrity into just about any subject.
